That’s the question that baffles most government employees as they approach retirement age – “Should I retire or resign? Which is best for me?”

If you ask the pension fund they’ll tell you to retire. They believe their fund is the best pension fund in the RSA.

But is it right for everyone?

Actually, no.

I speak with dozens of members each week. And for many, retiring is NOT the best option. And a far more satisfying and financially secure exit is through resignation.

Of course, you mustn’t make this decision lightly. Too much is at stake.
